Know users can easily complete the KYC process on mAadhaar app with its new “Paperless Offline e-KYC” feature. The new feature allows users to generate sharable documents for offline verification of identification.
Aadhaar Hacks: The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has added a ‘Paperless Offline e-KYC’ feature to the mAadhaar app to make the e-KYC process more convenient for users. The new feature allows users to authenticate Aadhaar, access services like EID/UID retrieval, locate the nearest enrollment centers, and perform mobile and email verification, among other functionalities.
What is Paperless offline e-KYC feature?
KYC or Know Your Customer allows financial institutions and organisations to verify customers identity and authenticity easily. To complete the KYC several documents are collected by the customers in order to identify them before getting them onboard. Now, users can generate these documents using the mAadhaar app’s new Paperless offline e-KYC feature. After completing the process users can use that for offline verification also.
“It is a secure shareable document which can be used by any Aadhaar holder for offline verification of Identification,” the UIDAI said.
Paperless Offline e-KYC In Maadhaar App: Here’s How To Access
- Download the mAadhaar app from Play Store or Apple App Store.
- After downloading the app, login using registered phone number and OTP.
- Than tap on the Services tab at the bottom bar and look for Paperless Offline e-KYC.
- Click on the option, enter Aadhaar number, Share Code and Security Captcha
- Click on “Request OTP” button
- Enter the OTP and then click on the “Verify” option.
- After clicking on the ‘verify’ option “Share ekyc” button will be displayed
- Tap on the button and select the app through which you want to share the eKYC documents with someone.
