Hermès announced on Wednesday the opening of its newly relocated boutique in Atlanta, on the ground floor of Phipps Plaza.
The new boutique stays true to Atlanta’s creative spirit, with a bespoke interior animated by the surrounding urban murals and thriving art scene, designed by the Parisian architecture agency RDAI.
Notably, the boutique’s façade, crafted from terracotta bricks in shades ranging from dark brown to almond, reflects the tones of Georgia’s rugged red canyons. Inside, the boutique’s signature Faubourg mosaic flooring in shades of beige, blue, and green ombré welcomes guests, while Grecques lighting guides them through a colorfully curated experience, beginning with Hermès’ signature silk and jewelry collections.
To the left, visitors will find Hermès’ homeware, leather goods, and equestrian lines, while the perfume and beauty area can be found on the right clad in warm red terrazzo. The journey continues into Hermès’ shoe universe. This space flows seamlessly into men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, followed by the jewelry and watch salon.
Each room is defined by distinct palettes to create different atmospheres, balancing light beige with deep taupe, salmon pink, earthy red and clay, while upholstered and coated walls create tactile details throughout. To complement the boutique’s visual narrative, the house collaborated with French artist Lena Hilton on a series of bold abstract paintings that enliven each room.
Completing the space is curated artworks and photographs from the Émile Hermès collection and the Hermès Collection of Contemporary Photographs including works from Italian artist Gianpaolo Pagni’s Hippomobile, and Greek artist Elias Kafouros’ Chevaloscope.
The relocated boutique is the house’s only address in Atlanta and one of forty-one in the United States.
