In 2022, near-nationwide protests broke out in Iran after the death of Mahsa Amini, an Iranian Kurdish woman arrested for allegedly violating hijab rules.
The voice against Hijab is getting louder in Iran with every passing day. Recently, a woman protested by removing her clothes in the middle of the street. According to the media reports and videos available online, a woman removed her clothes at an Iranian university in protest against the country’s strict Islamic dress code.
In a video, the security guards at a branch of Islamic Azad University can be seen detaining an unidentified woman. University spokesperson Amir Mahjoob stated on social media platform X, “At the police station, it was discovered that she was suffering from severe mental stress and had a psychological disorder.”
