Hollyland Mars M1 Enhanced is an All-in-One Wireless Video Transceiver

Hollyland recently announced the Mars M1 Enhanced, a wireless transceiver monitor with a 5.5-inch touch screen that combines transmitter, receiver, and monitoring functions into one device.

The Mars M1 Enhanced is “perfect for aerial photography monitoring, on-the-go surveillance, and wireless focus control,” says Hollyland. The company thinks the transceiver is ideal for small commercial photography teams and users requiring FPV or mobile monitoring solutions.

The 5.5-inch touchscreen promises accurate color calibration and sports a Rec.709 color gamut. The LCD has brightness up to 1,000 nits, which Hollyland says is suitable for outdoor use.

The Mars M1 Enhanced is powered by Hollyland’s in-house operating system, HollyOS, and includes a wide range of monitoring tools, including waveform, zebra pattern, aspect marks, anamorphic de-squeeze, and image flip. The OS also supports LUTs, and the device has HDMI and SDI support, including 4K/30p input over HDMI. The 4K signal will be downscaled to a 1080p signal for output to the monitor when used as a wireless transmitter, as the Mars M1 Enhanced does not transmit 4K/30p wirelessly. Users can swap between the M1 Enhanced’s transmitter and receiver modes in a dedicated settings interface.

Concerning wireless transmission, Hollyland says the Mars M1 Enhanced can deliver wireless visuals from up to 450 feet (150 meters) with line of sight and latency of only 0.08 seconds. The device includes automatic frequency scanning and smart channel scanning to avoid interference. Hollyland has also introduced a new antenna design in the Mars M1 Enhanced.

It also supports fractional frame rate via SDI, ensuring it is compatible with numerous switches. The device works alongside other Hollyland products, like the Mars 300 Pro, Mars 400s Pro, Mars 4K, and the upcoming Mars Pro/4K series.

Alongside the transceiver, Hollyland also sells accessories, including a rosewood handle one-handed grip, a side and bottom-mounted aluminum handle, wrist strap, capsule antenna, screen protector, monitor hood, shoulder strap, locking DC cable, and rotatable cold shoe mount.
