Hollyland’s New Pyro Series Wirelessly Transmits Video Up to 1,300 Feet

Hollyland, a leading provider of wireless audio and video solutions, has announced a new line of video transmitters. The new wireless Pyro Series transmitters promise to be the ideal option for multi-person mobile wireless image transmission and monitoring.

The first product in the new Pyro series, the Pyro H, promises enhanced monitoring stability, enabling swifter and more straightforward collaboration during production.

“It is perfect for diverse applications, such as film production, commercial filming, live event filming, ENG/EFP applications, and more,” Hollyland promises.

The Pyro H incorporates 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz dual-band technology and promises stable transmission up to 1,300 feet (400 meters) in ideal conditions. Further, the company says the Pyro H has a transmission latency of just 60ms “thanks to upgraded chips and optimized video encoding/decoding algorithms.”

Two wireless audio transmitters, marked rx and tx, each with a tall antenna, display, and control buttons, set against a white background.

A single Pyro H transmitter can wirelessly connect with four receivers, allowing people at different locations on set to receive and monitor real-time shooting. Depending on the production requirements and individual preferences, users can swap between “HD” and “Smooth” modes to prioritize resolution or stability. The Smooth Mode works better for transmission over long distances, while the HD mode offers high-definition image quality.

Hollyland says Pyro H’s user experience is accessible and streamlined. The transmitter has an HDMI input and a loopout port to send signals to multiple receivers at once. It also accepts a USB-C power supply, standard DC power, or NP-F battery. The Pyro H includes advanced preset grouping to help users get up and running quickly. The device promises “plug and play” usability, so users can easily live stream or video conference without much fuss.

Concerning streaming, the Pyro H also includes UVC streaming functionality, meaning it can connect directly with computers and other compatible devices without needing a capture card or specialized software.

The Hollyland Pyro H can wirelessly transmit high-resolution video across multiple common formats, including 4K at 24, 25, and 30 frames per second and Full HD at up to 60 frames per second.

The Hollyland Pyro H will begin shipping this week and will be available directly from Hollyland plus authorized retailers. A Pyro H set with a wireless transmitter and receiver is $479, while individual receivers and transmitters are $239 each.
