Honda Cars India has revised the prices of its Amaze and City Petrol models. The Amaze compact sedan gets costlier by Rs 4,900 for the solid colour variants while the metallic colours get an upward revision of Rs 6,900. On the other hand, the City gets a price hike of up to Rs 7,900.
Honda Amaze: Price Hike
With this revision, the Amaze now commands a starting price of Rs 7,09,900, ex-showroom and goes up to Rs 9,70,900, ex-showroom, for the top-spec VX Automatic variant.
The Amaze is a 5-seater sedan which is available in five variants with two transmission options. It is powered by a 1.2-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine which is mated to 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT automatic. This powerplant belts out 90 hp and 110 Nm of peak torque.
The MT is available across all trims while the CVT is limited to the mid-spec S and the top-spec VX trims.
Honda City: Price Hike
Similarly, the City, which is available in SV, V, VX, and ZX trim levels, gets a price hike of Rs 5,900 for the solid colours and Rs 7,900 for the metallic options. The sedan now comes at a starting price of Rs 11,62,900, ex-showroom and goes all the way up to Rs 16,01,900, ex-showroom, for the top-spec ZX CVT variant.
Under the hood, the City gets a 1.5-litre petrol mill mated to either a six-speed MT or a CVT.
At present, the Japanese manufacturer sells four models in India, including the Amaze, fifth-gen City, City Hybrid, and the newly-launched Elevate, through which the carmaker has forayed into the the rapidly growing and highly-competitive mid-size SUV segment in India. The prices for the City Hybrid and Elevate remain unaffected following the price hike.
