Honda: Honda Prologue electric SUV revealed globally: Dual motors with AWD

Japanese carmaker Honda has revealed the Honda Prologue electric SUV globally. The EV will be available in front-wheel-drive (FWD) or All-wheel-drive (AWD) layouts and the pre-bookings for the EV SUV are expected to start by the end of this year and deliveries are slated to start from 2024.

The EV is offered in three variants EX, Touring and Elite. The base trim EX and mid-sled Touring variants get AWD option whereas the top-of-the-line Elite gets AWD as standard.

The Honda Prologue EV is based on Honda’s new design language and features clean and simple lines. The car features greater width than height which gives it an interesting look along with that it also gets massive 21-inch aero-optimised alloy wheels. It has an overall length of 4,877 mm and a wheelbase length of 3,094 mm. The EV has 714 litres of boot space, it can be expanded to 1,634 litres by folding the second row. It gets sleek LED headlamps with DRLs and tiny projector fog lamps below. At the rear, it also gets LED taillamps with an integrated spoiler.

Moving inside, it features an 11.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 11-inch digital instrument cluster, HUD display, a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system, ventilated front seats, heated steering wheel, electric seats, panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, powered tailgate and it also gets Honda sensing ADAS suite.

Talking about the battery and electric motor, the FWD variant gets a single electric motor whereas the AWD version gets dual electric motors. The AWD variant puts out 288 bhp of power and 451 Nm of torque. Both variants come with an 85 kWh battery pack. Honda has not revealed the range of the EV but it’s speculated that it will be around 450 Km in one full charge.
