The Japanese automaker said in 2026 it will start introducing the first model of the Honda 0 Series globally, starting from North America, then to Japan, Asia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East and South America.
The Honda 0 Series represents a significant transformation aligning with the brand’s Global Slogan and electrification strategy. Symbolizing Honda’s commitment to innovation, the series name signifies starting anew and creating EVs from “zero.”
Honda said the development team introduced a fresh perspective on EVs. The “Thin, Light, and Wise” approach challenges conventional constraints, aiming to redefine EV development.
The upcoming 0 Series models aim to reduce fast-charging time (15% to 80%) to 10-15 minutes. The automaker also aims to limit battery capacity degradation to less than 10% after a decade of use.
The Saloon, a flagship concept model of the Honda 0 Series, will have low height and sporty styling, providing a spacious interior beyond exterior expectations. Featuring a human-machine interface (HMI) on the instrument panel for intuitive operations, the Saloon aims to deliver a fun driving experience.Honda said the development of the Honda 0 Series will focus on these five fundamental values:Inspiring artistic design that creates a sense of connection
Advanced Driver Assistance (AD/ADAS) for safety and reassurance
A connected “space” facilitated by the Internet of Things and connectivity technologies
The pleasure of driving, fostering a harmonious connection with the vehicle
Exceptional electricity efficiency performance.
