A Queensland woman has become a millionaire, learning the news over the phone while in the car on her way to work.
The Victoria Point woman held the only division one winning entry nationally in Weekday Windfall draw 4448, drawn last Friday.
She will receive $1,000,000 in prize money.

“Oh my god. That’s amazing,” she said in response to the news.
“Wow. Just wow.
“I’m on my way to work and need to pull over for a moment – I’m completely amazed.”
She and her husband have “always liked the idea of becoming an overnight millionaire”.
“Now we can say it happened to us.
“I can’t wait to call and tell him. This is going to change our life.”
The winning woman said she would use part of the money to help her children get into the property market, and carry out some renovations at her own home.
She purchased the winning ticket at Victoria Point Newsagency in the Pelican’s Nest Shopping Centre — located in Redland Bay, southeast of Brisbane.
Newsagency manager Dennis Tang was shocked to learn he had sold the winning ticket.
“We feel so grateful to have sold our first division one winning ticket,” he said.
“We’ve put up signs and balloons to share this incredible win with our local community.
“We hope we can welcome another division one win soon and wish our lucky winner all the best.”
The winning numbers in Weekday Windfall draw 4448 on Friday 27 September 2024 were 36, 1, 24, 35, 18 and 10 while the supplementary numbers were 44 and 20.
The Queensland woman was the only division one winner, with The Lott’s division one winning tally now up to 337 for 2024 — including 72 won by Golden Casket customers.
In the last financial year, 98 millionaires were created through Weekday Windfall.
In the same period, 108 division one winners received a collective $107,000,000 across the country.
