As a longstanding makeup lover and glam connoisseur, Huda Beauty is one of my all-time favorite brands. In addition to offering shades that complement my skin tone, the brand has products with the coverage needed for my hyperpigmentation. I rely on Huda Beauty’s #FauxFilter Color Corrector and #FauxFilter Crease-Proof Concealer for every single look. I’m also obsessed with the hydrating Faux Filler Lip Gloss and fuss-free Blush Filter Liquid Blush.

Huda Beauty is all about delivering that flawless, airbrushed look that resembles an Instagram filter without feeling too heavy or cakey, and its newest addition to the collection is the Easy Blur Foundation ($37). The product, which is already going viral on TikTok, promises to deliver skin-blurring results with a medium yet buildable coverage that feels weightless. And while Huda Kattan announced that there are shade range issues on her TikTok — in particular, there was a shade missing from the deep-rich category and another shade was mislabeled — she noted that she is diligently working on fixing them before launch.

About the Huda Beauty Easy Blur Foundation

  • The foundation is weightless, delivering a medium, buildable coverage with a skin-blurring effect from silica.
  • It’s non-comedogenic, and formulated with 1.5 percent niacinamide.
  • It comes in 29 shades.
  • It is fragrance-free and alcohol-free.

What I Like About the Huda Beauty Easy Blur Foundation

As much as I want to be the sheer coverage skin tint girl, I opt for a fuller coverage foundation due to my hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone. Those tend to feel heavy on the skin while the Easy Blur Foundation feels like a serum while delivering incredible coverage. And it covers most of my dark spots without a color corrector or concealer.

It also delivers a blurring effect that reduces the textured appearance of my skin, specifically my pores. The lightweight formula is easy to blend and spreads evenly across my skin — and it plays well with other products. Plus, its slim packaging makes it easy to pack in makeup bags without taking up too much space.

How to Use the Huda Beauty Easy Blur Foundation

After skin is prepped and primed, you can use the Easy Blur Foundation just like any other foundation in your routine. I use the accompanying Easy Blur Primer ($29), a silicone-free jelly primer that helps control excess oil, smooth texture, and blur the skin. I add a few drops of foundation directly onto my face and blend with the Easy Blur Base Brush ($29) in stamping and sweeping motions. Since it has a serum-like, watery texture, you can apply the foundation to the back of your hand if you want more control over the product.

Depending on your needs, you can stick to one layer for a natural, skin-tint look or add a second layer for full coverage. Because of my hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone, I like using two layers. Then, I color-correct with the #FauxFilter Color Corrector ($30) and spot conceal as needed with the #FauxFilter Concealer ($31). To truly get that airbrushed finish, I set my complexion with the Easy Bake Loose Setting Powder ($38) and bake where I am prone to creasing.

What to Consider Before Trying the Huda Beauty Easy Blur Foundation

Although this formula is nondrying, if your skin leans more dry, I suggest prepping with hydrating products to balance out the oil-control properties in this foundation. As someone with active acne, this does not completely mask the texture from zits and breakouts. Instead, it delivers a smoother, refined appearance for pores and fine lines.

Where is the Huda Beauty Easy Blur Foundation Available?

The Huda Beauty Easy Blur Foundation is available on the brand’s site and Sephora.
