A BEAUTY influencer has shared a $6 foundation from Amazon that she said bested much more expensive products from luxury brands.
The affordable makeup buy even managed to last beautifully as she huffed and puffed her way through spicy food.
Jennie (@greeneggsandglam) shared the beauty recommendation in a video with her TikTok followers.
“How the heck is this foundation six dollars?” she asked.
She explained that her interest was piqued when she spotted the foundation on Amazon with over a hundred reviews and a near-perfect five-star rating.
“I was so curious because the components remind me so much of my favorite Dior Face and Body foundation, so I picked it up just to try out,” she said, comparing it to her beloved $43 Dior foundation.
To test out the $6 Ruby Kisses Natural Finish foundation, she applied a pore-filling primer on one side of her face and on the other, a dewy primer.
On first impression, she was shocked to see that the Ruby Kisses had the same texture as the Dior foundation.
“[It] feels like my Dior Face and Body which is interesting. It’s very smooth, light, and creamy. No one is saying that it’s a dupe for the Dior at all, it’s just what it reminded me of,” she said.
Although she expected there to be a strong smell, she was pleasantly surprised when she discovered the foundation was scentless.

After one layer of the foundation with a brush, she agreed with the foundation’s claims to be “lightweight and medium coverage with a natural finish.”
“I agree with the medium coverage, it’s a little bit more glowy and it doesn’t feel heavy or sticky,” she said.
“I do have combo-oily skin so if something is a little bit too dewy I can definitely tell almost immediately.”
Jennie did notice a few slight issues, such as the foundation sinking into her pores on the pore-filling primer side as well as her freckles peeking through the makeup.
A second layer of foundation also revealed that the foundation was not buildable, although it didn’t claim to be.
On the other side, she applied the foundation with a sponge, which she preferred.
“It looks a lot smoother and sits on the skin better,” she said.
“In my opinion, it’s already looking a lot better than a lot of the high-end foundations that I’ve used.”
After setting the foundation with a bit of powder, she left to carry on about her day and returned eight hours later to reveal the results of her wear test.
“What I did do is eat Buldak spicy noodles. If you have not had Buldak spicy noodles, my head was sweating, my face was sweating, my nose and my neck were sweating and this is how it lasted,” she said.
She explained that she preferred the $6 foundation over popular brands like Kosas, Makeup by Mario, and Laura Mercier.
“I like this better than at least half of the prestige foundations I’ve tried.”
For those interested in picking the makeup deal up, she did note that the foundation oxidized a bit after she applied it.
“The color of it is half a shade darker and warmer than when I first put it on and it did settle just a bit in the smile lines, nothing crazy,” she said.
“It feels so good, it didn’t transfer where I sweat, I am so freaking impressed by this.”
People were impressed that the foundation managed to pass the ultimate wear test.
“Eating Buldak noodles is the true test and it looks amazing wow,” said one commenter.
Others were convinced by her thorough and honest review.
“Think I tripped running to the Amazon app,” joked one commenter.
