IIT Madras Extends Registration Deadline Till Oct 20; Here’s Direct Link To Apply

The Indian Institute of Technology(IIT) Madras has extended the registration deadline for the Joint Admission test for Masters (JAM) 2024.

IIT JAM 2024 Application: The Indian Institute of Technology(IIT) Madras has extended the registration deadline for the Joint Admission test for Masters (JAM) 2024. The IIT JAM 2024 application process has been extended till October 20. Earlier the last day to apply for the IIT JAM exam was October 13. Aspirants can register themselves by visiting the official website – jam.iitm.ac.in.

There are around 3000 seats in postgraduate programmes at 21 IITs for the academic year 2024-25. JAM 2024 Score will be used to admit the candidates subject to satisfying the Eligibility Requirements (ERs) and Minimum Educational Qualifications (MEQs) and any other necessary requirements, without any additional interview or written test.

JAM 2024 Examination will be held on February 11, 2024 (Sunday). The examination will be conducted as a Computer Based Test in SEVEN Test Papers, namely, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Economics, Geology, Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics, and Physics. The JAM 2024 examination will be conducted in around 100 Cities in India.

IIT JAM 2024 Application Form: Here’s How to Fill IIT JAM Registration.

JAM 2024 is open to all nationals (Indian/Foreign). For admission, foreign nationals are required to satisfy the rules and regulations of the Admitting Institute pertaining to foreign students. For further details, they are advised to contact the concerned Admitting Institutes. Check the step-by-step guide to fill the application form.

  • Candidates can apply for JAM 2024 only through JAM Online Application Processing System (JOAPS) available through “Candidate Portal” button on the website https://jam.iitm.ac.in from September 5, 2023 to October 20, 2023.
  • Candidates have to first register on the JOAPS website, by providing their name, a valid e-mail address, an active mobile number, and setting a password.
  • Upon successful registration, the candidate’s Enrolment ID and OTP will be sent to the e-mail address and mobile number provided by the candidate.
  • The candidate needs to use this Enrolment ID or e-mail address along with the password for submitting the application. Candidates are advised to keep the Enrolment ID and the password safe and confidential.
  • Apply for the examination online.
  • Upload photograph, signature, and other documents like certificate (for OBC-NCL / EWS / SC / ST / PwD)
  • Pay the application fee through any of the electronic payment modes. Check the status of the application form such as Received, Under scrutiny, Accepted, Defect status, Status after rectification, Rejected with valid reasons, and Admit card ready for download.

NOTE: A candidate should submit only one application form even if the candidate wants to appear for two Test Papers. Multiple applications submitted by a candidate are liable for rejection. Hence, DO NOT submit multiple application forms.
