Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei has issued a chilling warning to Israel and United States, raising fears of a full-blown Iran-Israel war.
Iran-Israel war: Amidst the looming threat of an all-out Iran-Israel war, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Saturday, issued a chilling warning to Israel and its all-weather ally, the United States, vowing that these countries will “receive a crushing response” for their actions against the Islamic Republic.
“The United States of America and the Zionist regime will definitely receive a crushing response for what they do against Iran and the Resistance Front,” Khamenei wrote in a post on his official X handle.
The Iranian Supreme Leader emphasized that Iran’s response is not only about revenge but a “logical move” aligned with Islamic laws, ethics, religion and international laws to counter global arrogance.
“This isn’t just about revenge [on Zionist regime]. It’s about a logical move, in line with our religion, ethics, Islamic laws, and international laws [against Global Arrogance]. Country’s officials will not hesitate or show the least neglect in this regard. Be certain about this,” Khamenei wrote in another post.
Khamenei orders retaliatory attack on Israel
The Supreme Leader’s warning came a day after he reportedly gave marching orders to top Iranian military officials, ordering them to launch a retaliatory strike against Israel in response to the Jewish nation’s October 26 airstrikes on Iran.
Notably, Khamenei’s order came after a cryptic tweet by the Iranian military, day after visuals emerged, suggesting the Islamic Republic was preparing for a war. “See you very soon,” the Iranian military wrote in Hebrew on its official X handle.
Iran may change nuclear doctrine
On Friday, Kamal Kharazi, close-aide of Iran’s Supreme Leader, warned that Tehran may be forced to change its nuclear doctrine if the Islamic Republic’s existence is threatened.
Kharazi, a former Minister of Foreign Affairs, now adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader Sayyed Ali Khamenei, said the ongoing conflict with Israel and its allies, may force Iran to lift moratorium on its nuclear doctrine. His comments come amidst the fear of a full-blown war between Iran and Israel, which will create a region-wide crisis in the Middle-East and plunge it into chaos.
Israeli attack an ‘act of aggression’
Earlier, following Israel’s “precision strikes” on Iranian military sites, Tehran had termed the attacks as an “acts of aggression” and a “blatant violation of international law”, while asserting that the Islamic nation had the right to retaliate.
In a statement, Iran’s foreign ministers, condemned the Israeli strikes “in the strongest terms”, asserting that they were a “blatant violation of international law and the United Nations Charter,” particularly the principle prohibiting the threat or use of force against the territorial integrity and national sovereignty of countries.
