Isabel Marant Men’s Spring 2025 Runway, Fashion Show and Collection Review

Isabel Marant hit her boho beats with ikat prints and plenty of embroidery this season.

The pattern appeared blown up on bomber jackets and shrunken as stripes on shirts, and embroidered on jeans.

Marant and artistic director Kim Bekker love playing with textures and mixed it up again for spring 2025, pairing pieces like faux leather pants with cozy knit sweaters, or tailored trousers with faux shearling puffers. The total look is polished but just a little bit laid back, while leopard print loafers add an air of louche.

“It brings a bit of another elegance into the [collection] that we didn’t have before,” said Bekker.

Marant’s collections are a constant cultural study of pieces picked up around the world; this season she hunted for vintage vibes and then took them to an underground club for sexier looks styled by Emmanuelle Alt.

See a silky viscose paisley shirt unbuttoned-to-there for plenty of exposed skin, and bandanas morphed into sleeveless faux shearling puffer vests. The duo stuck with slouchier silhouettes this season, while a plaid shirt tied around the waist gives grunge.

Marant also continued her exploration of color with pops of red and pink, the latter in a soft denim jeans and jacket, slashed and over-embroidered with added texture.

The designer just reopened her Beijing flagship with the revamp inspired by Spanish architect César Manrique Cabrera, known for his work on Lanzarote. Marant was shooting there and became enchanted with the strong visual and cultural identity he maintained on the island, which reflects her approach to layering textures.

Though it is situated inside a shopping center, the new store has a welcoming garden at the entrance, while the interior floor is laid with volcanic rocks topped by soft, tufted rugs and undulating planters. “It’s more personal and a bit more cozy,” she said of the redesign. “It’s more like welcoming people in my house.”
