The incident took place near the newly-constructed HAL underpass in Bengaluru around 9 AM in the morning. It was recorded on the dash cam installed in Lamba’s car. The video was posted on X (formerly known as Twitter), tagging the Bengaluru traffic police. The police, has since responded to the tweet, and said that the incident was noted and has been informed to the concerned officers.
In the video, a youngster can be seen getting angry and aggressively kicking the car. He was riding a TVS Ntorq scooter without even wearing a helmet.
The incident has highlighted the problem of road rage in Bengaluru. In recent times, there have been a number of cases of road rage, some of which have resulted in fatalities.
Furthermore, such instances highlight the importance of installing dash cams in cars. In such events, drivers with dash cams equipped to their vehicles can have video evidence to prove their innocence and provide proof of traffic violations, rash driving, and criminal offenses such as road rage.
While OEMs have slowly started to provide dash cams even in the entry-level cars in India, it is anyway a good idea to invest in dash cams for your old vehicles as it plays a crucial role in documenting and exposing unlawful activities on roads.
