No one can forget Priyamani dancing with Shah Rukh Khan on the foot-tapping ‘1 2 3 4 Get on the Dance Floor’ from Chennai Express; the duo were once again spotted in the recently released Jawan, which has set the box office on fire.
The tremendously talented actress, in her interview with Zoom, shared her fondest memory of working with King Khan. She mentioned that he would never let his celebrity persona interfere with the actors on set.She added that once they had packed up for the day, he would go to his van, get changed and give all the crew members the warmest and tightest bear hugs. He would plant kisses on their foreheads and take care of everyone with kindness and generosity.
The actress, in another interview, shared an anecdote about her equation with Shah Rukh Khan, which took place during the shoot of Zinda Banda song. She was in conversation with Connect FM Canada, where she revealed that when the actors were rehearsing for the first set of choreography that was given to them, she was placed behind Shah Rukh. But when the superstar arrived on set, he categorically looked around for her and saw that she was placed right behind him. He then told choreographer Shobi Master and director Atlee that he doesn’t care what the choreography is, she should be next to him, as she has been his dance teacher since Chennai Express days and he will follow her in case he forgot his steps.
She added that for every step he would ask her how would you do and she would explain that leg is like that and we have to move this way. If you actually notice in the song, Sanya (Malhotra) is on his right and she’s on his left. She also highlighted that Shah Rukh Khan kept on rehearsing till he got the steps right and never said no for anything.
After working with him on two projects, the actress is also hoping to do a proper full fledged role opposite him. She is requesting everyone to please manifest it for her, as she would love to do another film with him.
Priyamani will now be seen in Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK’s The Family Man 3, where she is paired opposite Manoj Bajpayee and hopefully in this season, everyone will get the answer to what happened in Lonavala that year.
