NEW DELHI: The two Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) – Mains will be conducted from the third week of January 2024 and second week of April, while the Common University Entrance Test – Undergraduate (CUET-UG) will commence from the first week of May. The medical/ dental entrance, National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET-UG) will be conducted on May 5, 2024.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is likely to notify the dates for the 2024 exams next week starting with the JEE (Mains), which will be the earliest ever announcements of the dates. A total of 11.1 lakh candidates took the JEE (Mains) and CUET-UG, while 20.3 lakh took the NEET-UG in 2023.
According to a senior NTA official, “The registration and exam dates for the JEE (Mains) are likely to be announced early next week. The tests will be conducted from the third week of January and second week of April. For the April JEE (Mains) the registration window will be reopened.”
The NTA official said the third edition of CUET-UG will be conducted from the first week of May, thereby bringing forward the dates by almost two weeks from that of 2023. NEET-UG will be conducted on the first Sunday of May, which falls on May 5 in 2024.
