Jetstar launches major Black Friday sale with ‘return for free’ domestic and international fares

Jetstar is releasing bargain fares for the Black Friday instalment of its “Return for Free” sale — the largest one of 2024.

Return domestic flights from $42 and return international flights from $165 go on sale to the public from midnight on Thursday.

Travel dates vary for each route, but domestic flights included in the sale fall within the mid-July to late October travel period in 2025.

International flights included in the sale will fall within the mid-February to mid-September travel period in 2025.

But travellers planning ahead for their discount holidays need to get in quick, as the sale ends at 11.59pm AEDT on Sunday, December 1, or until the sale seats are sold out.

The prices do not include checked baggage, and arrival and departure ports within the booking must both be the same.

When the sale opens to the public, it will have already been available to Club Jetstar members for 12 hours, which means some of the advertised fares may no longer be available when the sale opens to the general public.

The bargains bring the airline closer to its goal of selling more than 12 million fares for under $100 each this year, and more than 21 million for less than $200 — Jetstar said it was “on track” to reach the milestone.
