Winter has officially arrived, and it’s the perfect time to cosy up on the couch with a cuppa and tune into some telly to catch the latest summer hits coming out of the Northern Hemisphere.

Celebrities sliding into the freezing depths this year include Tennis’ golden child Pat Rafter, basketball star Erin Phillips and national icon Sally Pearson, just to name a few.
House of the Dragon — season 2 premiere (Binge)
June marks the return of the highly anticipated second season of HBO’s House of the Dragon. The critically acclaimed Game of Thrones prequel ramps up this season with the Targaryen war of succession in full swing as Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma Darcy) and her half-brother Aegon II (Tom Glynn-Carney) fight for the throne.
This season will see five new dragons and more players enter the fray alongside returning characters such as Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith), Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke), Rhaenys Targaryen (Eve Best) and Corlys Velaryon (Steve Toussaint).
Tune in to see who will come out on top between Team Green and Team Black or if it will end with everyone bathed in dragon fire.

The Bear — season 3 premiere (Disney Plus)
The heat is on in season three of The Bear as Carmy (Jeremey Allen White) pushes himself to the brink for his family and crew to keep their Chicago beef stand turned fine dining restaurant making a profit.
He’s not alone, Sydney (Ayo Edibri) and Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) are working to do their part to elevate the restaurant to new heights.
The Boys — season 4 premiere (Prime Video)
The Boys is back for its fourth outing on Prime Video. This season sees Butcher (Karl Urban) at odds with his team, trying to complete his mission before time runs out.
Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit) is inching closer to the White House while navigating a tense alliance with Homelander (Antony Starr). Homelander consolidates his power as he welcomes newcomers Sister Sage (Susan Heyward) and Firecracker (Valorie Curry).
The Boys, now led by MM (Laz Alonso) continue to work to stop the corrupt superheroes and evil megacorp Vought.
Bread and Roses — film premiere (Apple TV Plus)
This powerful documentary examines the impact of the fall of Kabul to the Taliban in 2021 and the impact it had on women’s rights in Afghanistan. Bread and Roses follows the lives of three Afghan women in real-time as they fight against the new status quo.
The film is produced by Jennifer Lawrence and Justine Ciarrochi and executive produced by Nobel Peace Prize winner and human rights advocate Malala Yousafzai.

Men Up — film release (Britbox)
Based on the first-ever drug trial in the world for the drug Viagra in 1994. Men Up follows the story of a group of ordinary men from Swansea, Wales who come together through the trial and explore the effect the pill has on their home relationships.
Described by reviewers as a “love letter to male friendship” the film stars Iwan Rheon (Game of Thrones), Paul Rhys (Saltburn), Steffan Rhodri (Gavin and Stacey), Phaldut Sharma (Gravity) and Mark Lewis Jones (Gangs of London).
Hit Man — film premiere (Netflix)
This romantic black comedy stars Glen Powell as Gary Johnson, a college professor who finds himself posing as a hitman as he goes undercover for the New Orleans Police Department.
Gary discovers a knack for working up new disguises and personalities to catch crooks. Things get heated when he falls in love with a beautiful young woman (and potential target) Maddy Masters (Adria Arjona) who hires him to kill her husband.
