Justin Jefferson Wore Spring 2025 Off-White for the NFL Season Opener—the Same Day the Collection Debuted on the Runway

Week 1 of the 2024–2025 NFL season saw the Minnesota Vikings face the New York Giants at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. By the end of regulation, the Vikings had claimed their first victory of the season, the final score 28–6. But among those of us for whom fashion is a sport, Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson had won before the game even started. Jefferson arrived pre-kickoff wearing a look from Ib Kamara’s spring 2025 Off-White collection—the same afternoon the collection debuted on a New York Fashion Week runway. (By our calculation, Jefferson was settling into the locker room around the same time Mary J. Blige, Issa Rae, Flavor Flav, and Francis Tiafoe were settling into their front row seats at Off-White’s Brooklyn Bridge Park show venue.) To borrow a phrase from 2018: We have no choice but to Stan.

“When I walked in Vogue World: Paris this summer, I had the amazing opportunity to work with IB Kamara, who styled the show,” Jefferson tells Vogue. “We really connected there and we talked about wanting to do more together, especially when the season began.” The two kept their word, and it was decided that Jefferson would wear Off-White ahead of his first game of the season. Already excited to be playing that game in Greater New York, Jefferson became even more enthused when he learned that Off-White was staging their spring 2025 fashion show on the same date, in the same city. (This marked a first for the Milan-based house, which usually shows in Paris.) The NFL standout and his stylist Darnell Booker trusted Off-White with Jefferson’s Week 1 look—implicitly.

“This was a fun one because, like the models walking the runway, I didn’t get to decide on the look,” Jefferson explains. “This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity so we trusted the creative vision of Ib and his team. However, we did get to accessorize the look with a bit of flare.” Jefferson wore a cammo-print vest with a zippered panel and matching, relaxed jeans. His “bit of flair” came by way of a Chrome Hearts belt, Oakley sunglasses, and a diamond-encrusted Richard Mille watch. “I just thought it looked perfect with the rest of the fit,” Jefferson says of the timepiece.

As the intersection of fashion and sports has swelled into a pop culture phenomenon over the past few years, Jefferson has emerged among players contributing to that interest. “They say ‘look good, play good,’ and when it comes to my game day fit, I like to come in and set the tone that it’s showtime,” he says. “I think the individual expression that goes along with style and fashion is such an incredible part of our game. I’m happy to be considered one of the guys leading the way.”

Ahead, Jefferson shares photos taken while got ready for Week 1, exclusively with Vogue.
