K-Way is celebrating its French origins more than ever. After unveiling a collaboration with Agnès b. last month, the renowned windbreaker brand, founded in Paris in 1965 and now owned by the Italian conglomerate BasicNet, is joining forces with another Parisian label, Maison Kitsuné.

The two K-Way windbreakers reinterpreted by Maison Kitsuné – Kitsuné – K-Way

Founded in 2002 by Gildas Loaëc and Masaya Kuroki, Maison Kitsuné brings a playful yet chic reinterpretation to K-Way’s signature pieces. The classic “Léon” and “Claude” rain jackets have been elegantly reimagined with a sophisticated tartan motif. The logos of both brands have been merged, seamlessly blending the iconic ‘K’ of K-Way with the emblematic fox of Kitsuné (kitsuné meaning fox in Japanese).

Available in a spectrum of hues including monochromatic sky blue, vibrant bi-color combinations of blue and yellow, classic tartan, and eclectic patchwork designs, the pieces are priced between 190 to 230 euros.

The launch campaign, captured by the renowned French photographer Basile Bertrand, unfolds a romantic narrative as a young couple embarks on a bicycle journey through the enchanting streets of Paris, with a picturesque stopover at Café Kitsuné nestled within the Palais-Royal.

Maison Kitsuné, renowned for its multifaceted lifestyle concept encompassing music, fashion, and culinary experiences, continues to expand its global footprint with 35 boutiques and 27 cafes worldwide. In 2019, Café Kitsuné further diversified its offerings by introducing bars and restaurants.

Maison Kitsuné has pursued numerous collaborations since its creation. It has partnered notably with J.M. Weston, Oliver Peoples, Peter Jensen, New Era, Maison Pierre Marcolini, Reebok Classic, shu uemura, ADER error, the NBA, and ToiletPaper. Similarly, K-Way has established fruitful partnerships extending beyond Agnès b. to include renowned brands such as Sœur, MSGM, and Saint Laurent.
