Kane Cornes stokes unlikely war of words with Aussie cricketer Jake Fraser-McGurk

Outspoken AFL media superstar Kane Cornes has become accustomed to criticism from footy fans and pundits over his often controversial opinions.

But he may not have expected to cop it from an international cricketer.

Port Adelaide great Cornes, who is joining Channel 7 as an expert commentator next year, lauded his former club’s gutsy three-point win over Hawthorn on Friday night.

“2004 GF aside, the best win in Port Adelaide history. They had no right,” Cornes said of the Power’s win over the Hawks.

Declaring it the club’s second greatest win in its AFL history was always going to polarise.
