Kaplan partners with University of Oregon for student recruitment

Kaplan has signed a five-year partnership agreement with the University of Oregon to recruit international students into undergraduate programs.

The partnership marks a “significant step forward” in the University of Oregon’s global outreach efforts and will be recruiting students for the state university’s September 2025 cohort, said UO associate vice president Erin Hayes.

“Due to Kaplan’s expertise and student-first approach, this collaboration promises to enhance our ability to connect with talented students worldwide.

“Together, we look forward to fostering a vibrant international community and enriching educational experiences at the UO for years to come,” said Hayes.

Based in Eugene, Oregon, the UO is one of the top 50 public universities in the US and a Tier 1 research-focused institution with 74% of UO students engaged in research activities.

The university is also well-known for its sporting successes with 15 current and past Oregon athletes competing in the 2024 Olympics, 10 of whom are competing for a country other than the US.

This collaboration promises to enhance our ability to connect with talented students worldwide.

Clare Rawlins, Kaplan vice president, student recruitment and marketing, praised UO’s international reputation. The university has alumni in 148 countries around the world.

It also has a dedicated Mills International Center offering an on-campus home for international students with conversation clubs and cultural events.

“Our partnership is a fantastic fit, with closely aligned strategic priorities and a shared total focus on student success and wellbeing,” Rawlins said.

International students can apply to one or more of more than 70 UO bachelor’s degrees through Kaplan, which waives prospective students’ application fee and advises on deadlines and scholarships.

Kaplan International Pathways works with universities around the world to provide full degree programs, student recruitment services and university preparation.

It recently announced a foundation program with the University of Alberta, while Kaplan Languages Group announced the acquisition of a language school in the South of France.
