(NewsNation) — Kate Beckinsale has called the cops on salon owner Nick Abramovic after several sessions with the “social trauma therapist” who gave her the ick.

Kate Beckinsale and The Bionic Method

While details are thin, the matter came to light after The Bionic Method spa owner Abramovic — who claims on his site he offers “a holistic approach to release all that stress … helping you rediscover the vibrant, true you (through bodywork, breathwork and emotional healing” — posted on Instagram, saying: “Hello Ashley, I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to follow up regarding the outstanding payment for the services I provided to Kate Beckinsale. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this matter, the payment of nearly $3,000 remains unpaid. I have made several attempts to reach out, but unfortunately, Kate had chosen not to fulfill this obligation. After consulting with legal counsel, I have been informed that the NDA requested is no longer legally binding, which leaves me with no other recourse but to consider other options.”

What is The Bionic Method?

When I contacted The Bionic Method — which claims, “There’s a reason why you’re in chronic pain … and there’s an emotion attached to it. Every ache in your body tells a story, often linked to a deep-seated emotion. Our unique approach to understanding this connection is what leads to our many success stories” —  and Abramovic over Instagram, he DM’ed me to call their lawyers but wouldn’t give me the number.

When contacted, Beckinsale’s rep would only say: “‘Somatic trauma therapist’ Nick Abramovic is well aware as to why his bill has not been paid. He knows this because he received a letter from Kate Beckinsale’s lawyer, Marty Singer. Kate is not able to discuss the matter because it is being investigated by the LAPD.”

Beckinsale has been open about her rough year and wrote on Instagram earlier this summer: “I watched my stepfather die quite shockingly, my mother has stage 4 cancer, and I lost a lot of weight from stress and grief quite quickly. And then I was in (the) hospital for six weeks because the grief had burned a hole in my esophagus, which made me vomit copious amounts of blood, and I found eating very hard.”

Beckinsale was seeking some relief from the spa but encountered something else altogether.

“The police are investigating this matter,” a source said. Legal letters are flying between both parties, and while Beckinsale is staying mum, other customers on Yelp are not.

Trouble with The Bionic Method

Six of the 25 Yelp reviews offer only one star, and the dissatisfied customers say things like:

[Callie D]: “Also worth mentioning as a female (and noticing that he’s specifically targeting females), know ahead of time that you’re showing up to a creepy building in Venice and it will just be you and Nick – which was also something that felt immediately off and weird. Just fair warning. I’ve never experienced anything like this before in all my years of bodywork.”

[Kim H]: “I found TBM on Instagram. At first I was excited to go. Then the little voice kicked in and made me think twice. I went anyway. Nick is creepy and when he discovered my experience with body work for pain from a surgery and the pros that handle me he backed out of our session.”
