What’s been said about the game so far?

Chris Sutton on BBC Sport reckons England will win 2-1, saying that ‘if England are going to reach their second successive Euros final, they are going to have to rely on individual brilliance again’.

In the Evening Standard, Marc Mayo thinks England will win on penalties, saying: ‘Logically, you have to expect this to be a tight game that could well go the distance – and hope England’s know-how and quality pull them through.’

Jonathan Wilson in the Guardian has picked out several tactical ‘conundrums’ that will settle the semi-final, arguing that Gareth Southgate needs to choose between three or four at the back, as well as whether to substitute Harry Kane for other, younger talents.

Spain vs France result and final score

In one of the best games of this year’s Euros, Spain triumphed over France in last night’s semi final. Lamine Yamal and Dani Olmo scored to defeat the French 2-1, meaning that whoever wins England vs Netherlands will face Spain in the final.
