Lana Del Rey Opts for Affordable Festival Fashion From a Surprising Source

Last week, Lana Del Rey headlined the Rock en Seine festival in Paris, decked out in black Chanel tweed. The dress, she said, was the epitome of a Chanel LBD, telling Vogue “it had to be tweed.”

But when she left the City of Light for the United Kingdom, the singer majorly shook things up. At the Reading and Leeds festivals this past weekend, Del Rey traded in her quintessential French Girl LBD for a much more attainable look.

For her performance, she wore a white empire waist sun dress patterned with a light blue toile. While, nowadays, festival headliners come with a bespoke set of designer costumes, Del Rey got her summery spaghetti strap dress from Los Angeles boutique Cotton Candy LA. The brand’s website advertises specifically for homecoming and sorority rush, but given that Del Rey bought her 2020 Grammys dress straight off the rack at the mall—and her 2024 Grammys dress was personally thrifted—we’ve learned that her style inspiration can come from anywhere.

Del Rey doubled down on her new favorite store at the Leeds Festival the following night, when she wore another dress from the brand. She opted for a white floral slip dress patterned with yellow florals and lined with lace trim along the bust and neckline. Perhaps nodding to her forthcoming Western-inspired album Lasso, she gave the look a country twist by adding white cowboy boots with lace paneling from Shyanne.

If this is the first taste of Lana Del Rey’s Lasso style, we’re expecting some combination of Bama Rush and Dolly Parton. Consider us tuned in!
