After a two-year absence, Lanvin will be showing again. The Parisian label owned by Chinese giant Lanvin Group (formerly the Fosun Fashion Group), has announced it will be back on the official calendar at the next Paris Fashion Week. Lanvin said it will show at the end of January, during the menswear week, without indicating an exact date. In a co-ed show, the label will unveil the first men’s and women’s collections by its new creative director Peter Copping.

“A modern designer, Copping promises a first collection reflecting what Jeanne Lanvin called ultimate chic. The show will present the Fall/Winter 2025-26 women’s and men’s ready-to-wear collections in a unique revelatory moment,” said Lanvin in a brief statement.

Lanvin’s previous creative director, Bruno Sialelli, left after his last show for the label in March 2023, having been in charge of the Parisian label’s style since January 2019, and following several rudderless years after iconic designer Alber Elbaz was dismissed in 2015. Clearly, Lanvin wanted to take its time to rethink its strategy. In the course of almost two years, the label has reorganised, restructuring its range and repositioning on the market with a more elegant, sophisticated and intrinsically French style, notably releasing several institutional campaigns.

It is now Copping’s turn to take over the torch and relaunch the oldest French fashion house still in operation. Copping, 57, born in the UK and with extensive experience, having worked at Louis Vuitton and Nina Ricci among others, has been operational since September. It is now up to him to translate the transformation Lanvin has been engaged in for the last two years into the new collections.
