Last Oasis setlist could hint at 2025 reunion tour songs | Music | Entertainment

Oasis has sent fans into a frenzy with the announcement of a reunion tour for summer 2025.

The confirmed venues include Manchester’s Heaton Park, Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium, Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, London’s Wembley Stadium, and Dublin’s Croke Park.

On August 22, 2009, Noel and Liam Gallagher took to the stage at V Festival in Staffordshire. Unbeknownst to fans, this would be the final performance of the brothers as Oasis, igniting a lengthy, tumultuous, and public feud.

Following the split, the brothers embarked on their own individual careers, leading brand-new bands.

Liam established Beady Eye the same year, which disbanded in 2014, while Noel continues to perform with his High Flying Birds group today.

That performance at V Festival marked the last time fans would experience Oasis in all its glory – until now. With a summer 2025 tour on the horizon, the V Festival setlist may provide some insight into what fans can anticipate next year, reports the Liverpool Echo.

Here is the final Oasis setlist from V Festival on August 22, 2009:

  • Intro tape: F**kin’ In The Bushes
  • Rock ‘n’ Roll Star
  • Lyla
  • The Shock Of The Lightning
  • Cigarettes & Alcohol
  • Roll With It
  • Waiting For The Rapture
  • The Masterplan
  • Songbird
  • Slide Away
  • Morning Glory
  • My Big Mouth
  • Half The World Away
  • I’m Outta Time
  • Wonderwall
  • Supersonic
  • Live Forever

Encore:

  • Don’t Look Back in Anger (acoustic)
  • Champagne Supernova
  • I Am The Walrus

According to bookies, the odds are in favour of The Masterplan being their first song.

Casinos.com oddsmaker Colm Phelan commented, “It’s highly unlikely Liam or Noel will belt out one of their smash-hits for their first song, that’s never been their style and they will save them for the tail-end of the gig if their previous performances are anything to go by.

“It’s unclear whether there will be new songs, but given they have a year to prepare, we wouldn’t rule it out. Given the song’s title, The Masterplan seems like a decent shout to be the first song they play when they take to the stage again.”
