From August 1, the country’s largest private sector lender HDFC Bank will modify its credit card rules, and Google will also alter Google Maps charges in India.
New Delhi: Starting from LPG Cylinder price to HDFC Credit Card rules, a series of new changes are going to impact India’s middle class from August 1. Notably, every month, some changes in some financial rules and regulations take place and in next month also, some rules will be altered to have a direct impact on common citizens. From August 1, the country’s largest private sector lender HDFC Bank will modify its credit card rules, and Google will also alter Google Maps charges in India.
LPG Cylinder Price Revision
Major changes in the LPG gas cylinder prices are done on the first of every month. The Centre last month reduced the cost of a 19 kg commercial cylinder and it is speculated that the government will lower the cost of the cylinder this time as well.
Google Maps Charges To Be Reduced By 70%
Google Maps has made major changes to its rules in India, which will be applicable on August 1, 2024. The company earlier said it has reduced the charges for its services in India by up to 70%. Google Maps said it will now charge for its services in Indian Rupees rather than Dollars. However, these changes will not impact the regular users as no extra charge has been levied on them.
HDFC Bank Credit Card Rule to be Changed
The bank customers using CRED, Cheq, MobiKwik, Freecharge, and other similar services to pay rent will be charged 1% of the transaction amount, which will be restricted to Rs 3,000 per transaction. The bank said fuel transactions will not attract any extra charge for transactions under Rs 15,000 per transaction. But other transactions over Rs 15,000 will attract a 1% charge on the total amount, restricted to Rs 3,000 per transaction.
