While many of us know about IAS officer Tina Dabi and her love story, it’s often overlooked that she has a sister who is also an IAS officer with an equally fascinating love story. While IAS Tina Dabi passed the UPSC examination in 2015, her younger sister Ria, cleared the same in her first attempt in the year 2020. Ria Dabi secured 15th rank in UPSC CSE when she was only 23 years of age.
For a long time, Ria Dabi kept her love story and marriage private but media soon came to know about her marriage.
Love story of IAS Riya Dabi
Manish Kumar, an Indian Police Service officers, fell in love with IAS Riya Dabi and later became life partners through court marriage in April 2023. The love story of Manish Kumar and Riya Dabi got public when IPS sent an application to the central government demanding a change of his cadre. In the application written to the Home Ministry, Manish asked for a transfer to the Rajasthan cadre from Maharashtra, where the Dabi sisters were working.
In June 2023, the Home Ministry has accepted his application and Manish could move to Rajasthan. However, even after all this, there was no statement from Riya or Manish regarding their relationship.
Talking about the pictures of the marriage, nothing was released during the time when the discussion of the court marriage of IAS Riya Dabi and Manish Kumar in April 2023 was taking place. However, in February 2024, pictures of the wedding of both of them surfaced through social media. These pictures have been posted from an Insta account named Sunil Nawalgarh, an employee of Rajasthan Police. Sunil posted these pictures and wrote – Attended the wedding ceremony of IAS Riya Dabi and IPS Manish Kumar at Marriott Hotel, Jaipur.

IAS Ria Dabi completed her schooling from Convent of Jesus and Mary in New Delhi and went on to do graduation from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi with a degree in Political Science. Ria Dabi then cracked the UPSC in her first attempt, at the age of 23 where she secured All India Rank 15.
IAS Ria Dabi is presently serving as the Sub Divisional Officer and Magistrate (SDM) in Girwa, Udaipur. Ria grabbed headlines for the lavish reception party she hosted for her wedding with IPS Manish Kumar.
