After the latest hike, the commercial cylinder of LPG will now be available for Rs 1833 in Delhi.
New Delhi: State-run Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) hiked the prices of commercial LPG cylinders by over Rs 100 at several places across the country on Wednesday. Notably, this is the second time in the past two months that the commercial LPG cylinder prices have been hiked. After the latest hike, the commercial cylinder of LPG will now be available for Rs 1833 in Delhi.
In general, the prices of both commercial and domestic LPG cylinders are changed on the first day of each month.
Check LPG Cylinder Prices in Different Cities
After the latest revision, a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder will now cost Rs 1,833 in Delhi. A commercial LPG cylinder will cost Rs 1,785.50 in Mumbai, Rs 1,943 per cylinder in Kolkata and Rs 1,999.50 per cylinder in Chennai.
Last month, the prices of commercial LPG cylinders were Rs 1,684 in Mumbai, Rs 1,839.50 in Kolkata and Rs 1,898 in Chennai after the oil companies hiked the rates by Rs 209.
No increase in domestic LPG cylinder prices
Even as the prices of commercial LPG cylinders increased, the price of domestic LPG, used in household kitchens for cooking purposes, remained unchanged at Rs 903 per 14.2-kg cylinder in Delhi. And in Kolkata, the price of 14 kg cylinder is Rs 929. The price of domestic LPG cylinder in Mumbai costs Rs 902.5 and in Chennai, domestic gas cylinder is being sold for Rs 918.5.
LPG Prices Slashed In September
However, the commercial LPG cylinder prices slashed in September. Oil marketing companies had cut the prices of 19 kg commercial cylinder by Rs 157 in September, after which this cylinder was sold at Rs 1522.50 in Delhi and Rs 1636 in Kolkata.
