Mahindra Sales: Mahindra registers 20 percent sales growth in September 2023: Scorpio-N, XUV700, Thar drive growth

Mahindra & Mahindra today announced that its overall auto sales for September 2023 stood at 75,604 vehicles, registering a growth of 17 percent.
In the Utility Vehicles segment, Mahindra recorded the highest sales for the third consecutive month, the company added. In September 2023, the company sold 41,267 SUVs in the domestic market as opposed to 34,262 units in September 2022, witnessing a growth of 20 percent. The Mahindra Scorpio-N, XUV700 and Thar continue to receive an overwhelming response from Indian customers Overall sales, including exports, stood at 42,260 vehicles.

“We are excited to achieve our highest ever sale of SUVs for the third consecutive month. This month we saw a growth of 20% with 41,267 vehicles. We also registered an overall growth of 17%. In September, we also crossed the 1 lakh unit mark for our Bolero Maxx Pik Up trucks, making it the fastest-selling pickup in the country to reach that mark,” says Veejay Nakra, President, Automotive Division, M&M.
Further, he added, “While demand for our key SUV brands continues to be strong, we are keeping a close watch on the availability of semi-conductors and select components to meet the strong festive season demand.”

Exports for the carmaker stood at 2,419 units in September 2023 against 2,538 units in the same period last year, a decline of 5 percent.
