Mahindra & Mahindra today announced that its overall auto sales for August 2023 stood at 70,350 vehicles, registering a YoY growth of 19 percent. The Indian manufacturer recorded its highest-ever SUV sales of 37,270 units in August 2023 in the domestic market and overall 38,164 units, including exports.
The Mahindra Scorpio-N, XUV700 and Thar witnessed high demand and are responsible for driving the sales growth for the manufacturer in August 2023.

We also registered an overall growth of 19% for the month of August. While demand for our key SUV brands continues to be strong, we are keeping a close watch on the availability of semi-conductors and select parts, for sustained and smooth scaleup,” says Veejay Nakra, President, Automotive Division, M&M.

Total exports for the company stood at 2,423 units in August 2023 as opposed to 2,912 units in the corresponding period last year.
Talking about the commercial vehicle segment, the LCV 3.5T and MHCV sales increased by 47 percent to 949 units in August 2023 as compared to 646 units sold in August 2022. As electric vehicle sales are increasing in the country, Mahindra has also seen a surge in its electric three-wheeler sales. In August 2023, the electric 3Ws grew by 47 percent to 7,044 units as opposed to 4,793 units sold in the same period last year.
