The Fronx in South Africa is offered with two variants and a sole 1.5-litre NA Petrol engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic transmission. The engine puts out 104 hp of power and 138 Nm of torque. The price for the Fronx starts from R339900 (about Rs 15 lakh at current exchange rates).
As mentioned previously the Fronx in South Africa is offered in two variants – GL and GLX. The base variant GL gets features such as 16-inch alloy wheels, automatic LED headlamps with DRLs, electrically adjustable ORVMs, leather-wrapped steering wheel with mounted controls, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, rear-view camera, cruise control, hill hood control, dual-front airbags, ABS, ESP, ISOFIX and rear parking sensors.
The top-of-the-line GLX variant gets a bigger 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, HUD display, Auto IRVM, roof rails, telescopic adjustable steering wheel, push-button start, 4.2-inch MID, 360-degree camera, ambient lighting, wireless charger and six-airbags.
The Fronx launched in South Africa looks exactly the same as the one sold in India. The only difference we could find in the pictures is the absence of ‘SmartHybrid’ badging on its tailgate. The Fronx in South Africa also gets an exclusive orange colour option which is not offered in India.
The Fronx in India is offered with two engine options – a 1.2-litre NA, 4-cylinder Petrol engine and a 1.0-litre, Booster-jet, 3-cylinder turbocharged Petrol engine. Both engines come paired with a 5-speed manual or an automatic transmission.

The Fronx in India is offered in five trims – Sigma, Delta, Delta+, Zeta and Alpha – and seven colours, namely Arctic White, Earthern Brown, Opulent Red, Splendid Silver, Bluish Black, Celestial Blue and Grandeur Grey. Additionally, dual-tone options are available in Earthern Brown, Opulent Red and Splendid Silver colour options.
