This will be possible through the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in shopping. Jio’s AI-equipped shopping cart will automatically generate your bill, making the shopping process much smoother. Jio Smart Shopping Cart
Imagine if you walk into a store to buy some items and no longer need to wait in long queues. All you have to do is take a special cart, known as a Smart Shopping Cart. This cart is equipped with cameras and scanners that track every item you place in it. The cameras and scanners are very intelligent, they can automatically detect what you’ve picked and its price. This information is sent to the store’s computer, and your bill is prepared as you shop.
If you decide to put an item back, the system will automatically adjust the bill. When you are ready to leave the store, you simply scan a small code on your cart, and your bill will be ready for payment. Currently, these smart carts are being used in select stores in Hyderabad and Mumbai.
Smart Weighing Scales
In addition to the smart carts, retailers will no longer have to rely solely on traditional scales for weighing products. These new weighing scales come equipped with cameras that can recognize the items placed on them. For instance, if you’re buying lentils, the scale will not only display the weight but also identify the type of lentil and its price. If you pick up a packaged item, placing it in a designated spot will allow the scale to automatically add it to your bill, without needing manual input.
With these innovations, shopping is set to become faster and more efficient, allowing customers to enjoy a seamless experience.
