Hailing from Chhatarpur in Madhya Pradesh’s Bundelkhand region, Ashish Tiwari cleared the UPSC Civil Services(Main) examination-2015. He obtained All India Rank(AIR) 6. Notably, he is a batchmate of Tina Dabi, the 2015 UPSC CSE topper.

Speaking of his UPSC CSE marks, he obtained 827 and 168 in the written and personality test. Overall, he scored 995 marks.

Ashish completed his schooling at Saraswati Sishu Mandir School until Class 8 and then attended the Government Excellence School in Chhatarpur for his further education. He pursued his primary education in a government school. He also performed well in the All India Engineering Entrance Exam.
He completed a degree in mechanical engineering from NIT Jamshedpur. Later, he worked with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) in Jaipur when he cracked the UPSC Civil Service exam.
It is not easy to juggle two places and fulfill your dreams. Juggling a full-time job alongside preparation for one of India’s most challenging exams is a formidable task. Yet, Ashish’s dedicated approach and relentless determination ultimately led him to success. He balanced his job during the day with nighttime study sessions, demonstrating that with discipline and a clear objective, working professionals can excel in competitive exams. Additionally, he made periodic trips to Delhi to clarify doubts, showcasing his dedication to achieving his goal. He cleared the examination in his second attempt.
