Born on June 19, 1977, Smita Sabharwal hails from Darjeeling, West Bengal. Smita, daughter of Army officer Colonel Pranab Das and Purabi Das, became one of the youngest female IAS officers in India. According to the media reports, she cracked the examination reportedly at 23 years old.

IAS officer Smita Sabharwal is renowned as the “people’s officer.” Additionally, she has served in several locations across Telangana, including Warangal, Visakhapatnam, Karimnagar, and Chittoor. Furthermore, she is also the youngest officer to have been posted at the Chief Minister’s office.
