He made headlines after securing All India Rank 1 in the JEE Advanced exam in 2017. He studied hard and overcame many hurdles to achieve success in one of the most difficult exams in the country.

Family Background

Sarvesh’s father – Parvesh – is an officer in the Income Tax Department. His mother – Raj Bala – is employed in the Industrial Training Department of the Haryana Government.

Sarvesh Mehtani Education Qualification And Academic Achievements

Since his childhood, Sarvesh was a bright student and scored a 10 CGPA in Class 10 and 95.4 precent marks in Class 12. He showcased his prowess by scoring 339 marks in JEE Advanced. After this, Sarvesh did a B.Tech in Computer Science from the prestigious IIT Bombay.

Sarvesh’s Study Method

Sarvesh maintained an optimistic outlook towards his academic endeavours, never considering it as burden. He also enjoyed spending time playing badminton, tuning into his favourite tunes and relishing cartoons, a mode of unwinding for him. On a normal day, his study hours were mostly around 5 to 6, with an ambitious plan of ramping it up to 8 to 10 hours during holiday times.

Starting A Career At Google

After completing BTech, Sarvesh completed an internship at Google. There he worked as a research intern. Currently, Sarvesh is working at Optiver as a quantitative trader. At Optiver, his role is to develop strategies to trade financial derivatives.

Sarvesh’s Viewpoint

As per Sarvesh, there is no substitute for knowledge and experience. He always prioritised practical experience along with his traditional education. This thinking leads him towards new opportunities.
