Krithivasan’s Appointment As CEO
Krithivasan officially took over as CEO on June 1, 2023, succeeding Rajesh Gopinathan. Before becoming the CEO, he was the Global Head of the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) Business Group at TCS, a critical sector contributing significantly to the company’s global footprint. His expertise and leadership in this domain helped the company to deepen customer relationships, enhancing market positioning, and driving growth across various geographies.
TCS CEO Salary and Compensation
In his new role as the CEO, Krithivasan took home a salary of Rs 25.4 crore for the financial year 2023-24 (FY24). This remuneration covers his full-year service, including his prior role as the Global Head of BFSI from April 1, 2023, to May 31, 2023, and his tenure as CEO and Managing Director from June 1, 2023, to March 31, 2024. His compensation, while substantial, was slightly less than that of his predecessor, Rajesh Gopinathan, who earned Rs 29.16 crore in FY23.
