Manuj Jindal, a 2017 batch IAS officer of the Maharashtra Cadre cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination(CSE) 2016 and secured All India Rank 53. Jindal hails from Ghaziabad. Jindal moved to Dehradun, Uttarakhand, for his schooling. When he attained the age of 18, Jindal cracked the UPSC NDA examination. He achieved All India Rank(AIR) 18 in the UPSC NDA exam.

During his training, he initially excelled in the first term but faced a significant mental health challenge in the second term. Struggling with anxiety and depression, his condition worsened, leading to his disqualification from the course by the academy. As you all know mental health issues do not make you any less of a person. Our mental health struggles do not define our future.

Following this significant setback, he chose to pursue his studies abroad and graduated from the University of Virginia. Manuj received a job offer from Barclays, where he worked for three years with a good salary. Eventually, he moved back to India, where his younger brother was preparing for the UPSC exam.
