Hailing from Ghaziabad,  Manuj Jindal, a 2017 batch IAS officer of the Maharashtra Cadre, secured All India Rank 53 in the UPSC Civil Services Examination(CSE) 2016. He pursued his early education there before moving to Dehradun, Uttarakhand, for his schooling. At the age of 18, Jindal cleared the UPSC NDA examination with an impressive All India Rank(AIR) 18.

However, during his second term at the NDA training, Manuj Jindal faced anxiety and depression, which led to his disqualification from the course due to his worsening condition. Following this setback, he chose to pursue his studies abroad and graduated from the University of Virginia.

Manuj Jindal received a job offer from Barclays, where he worked for three years with a competitive salary. Eventually, he returned to India, where his younger brother was preparing for the UPSC exam. Inspired, Manuj decided to join the UPSC preparation as well. He appeared for the exam in 2014, successfully clearing both the prelims and mains, but did not make it to the final list.

In his second attempt, he passed the exam but was placed on the reserve list. However, on his third attempt in 2017, he finally cracked the UPSC exam, securing an impressive All India Rank of 53. Manuj has authored a book titled The Kick A** Craft of Answer Writing – A Step by Step Guide to Ace UPSC Mains, that focuses on UPSC answer-writing techniques. Additionally, he also runs a YouTube channel where he provides guidance and teaches students about UPSC preparation. Active on social media, he has 56K followers on Instagram.

Speaking of his UPSC CSE Main Result 2016, Manuj Jindal secured All India Rank(AIR) 53. He obtained 888 in his written examination and 165 marks on the personality test respectively. Overall he secured 1053 marks.
