Himanshu Gupta belongs to a very humble family of Uttarakhand where his father had a tea stall and he used to help him after school in order to help the family sustain the tough times.

While covering his journey, Himanshu has shared that he undertook a daily commute of 70 kilometers just to learn basic English. After completing school, Himanshu moved to Delhi to pursue higher education and was admitted to Hindu College at Delhi University. Later on, Himanshu faced financial barriers once again but he decided to solve them by teaching children and writing blogs, which helped him cover his college fees.

Himanshu Gupta’s story of clearing UPSC 3 times

Himanshu set his sights on the UPSC Civil Services exam, which is seen as a formidable challenge in India that many aspire to conquer but fail. In his first attempt, Himanshu cleared the CSE exam and secured a position in the Indian Railways Traffic Service (IRTS). However, not content with the achievement, he decided to become an IAS officer.

Himanshu continued his UPSC journey and in his second attempt in 2019, he succeeded in securing a position with the Indian Police Service (IPS). While this was a significant accomplishment, Himanshu wanted only the Indian Administrative Service. Determined to achieve his goal, he embarked on a third UPSC attempt, and finally got success.

Himanshu’s perseverance paid off when he was finally selected for the IAS, fulfilling his long-held ambition. Himanshu Gupta’s journey is a testament to the power of determination and hard work. His story inspires anyone facing challenges, demonstrating that with persistence and dedication, even the toughest hurdles can be overcome and dreams can be realized.
