Bipin Hadvani is the chairman and Managing Director of Gopal Snacks Limited. Bipin’s father started a small shop of namkeen in his village and he assisted him selling the snacks after school hours. He took snacks on his bicycle to sell snacks in the nearby villages. Later, he developed a passion for namkeen business.

In 1994, Bipin owned his own house and with the support of his wife, he started Gopal Snacks. He turned his house into a production centre where they started preparing different kinds of snacks, including traditional ones. To understand market needs and strategy, Hadvani reached out to the shopkeepers, and distributors of Rajkot.
Bipin’s hard work started paying him off after the demands for snacks rose. Soon after, he bought a plot outside the city and turned it into a factory. But, after some time he had to close it because of its remote location. Hadvani, later, bought a plot within the city and it received splendid success.
Gopal Snacks is considered as India’s fourth-largest traditional snack brand. The company is known for its speciality in ‘Gathiya’ namkeen. The company has a market cap of Rs 55.39 billion (Rs 5539 crore).
