Who Is KK Bishnoi?
Krishna Kumar Bishnoi hails from Rajasthan’s Barmer. He is the youngest of six siblings. His education journey started at a village primary school. Krishna then went to Sikar for his 10th-grade studies. He then pursued his 12th grade at Kendriya Vidyalaya.
Bishnoi then completed his graduation from Delhi’s St. Stephen’s College. Later, he earned a master’s degree in international Security from the Paris School of International Affairs on a French government scholarship. He also studied at The Fletcher School.
Left A Lucrative Job At The United Nations
After completing his studies, Bishnoi got a lucrative job at the United Nations, where he worked at the Trade Center with an annual package of Rs 30 lakh. After working there for one year, he returned to India and pursued an M.Phil. at JNU and also worked in the Ministry of External Affairs. Determined to become an IPS officer, he cleared the UPSC exam in his second attempt through self-study. He cracked the UPSC exam with an AIR 174th in 2017.
A Dynamic Officer
Before taking up his current role in Sambhal, Bishnoi served as SP City in Gorakhpur. Here, he made a significant impact by successfully fighting against organized crime and confiscating illegal assets worth a staggering Rs 803 crore. His firm stance resulted in many criminals abandoning the city. Now in Sambhal, Bishnoi has assumed his first-ever position as the district’s chief of police. His deft handling of recent violent occurrences is a testament to his remarkable administrative skills.
