Aishwarya Sheoran’s stride into the test center of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) signaled the onset of an incredible journey. From a reigning beauty queen to acing the ranks of an IAS officer, Sheoran’s journey beautifully captures a modern-day fairytale, illustrating a successful switch from the floors of modeling to the Indian administrative service.

Coming from one of the distinguished family of Rajasthan, Aishwarya’s father is a Commanding Officer Ajay Kumar. He serves in the 9th Telangana NCC Battalion in Karimnagar. Coming from Rajasthan, Aishwarya moved to Delhi, where she attended Sanskriti School in Chanakyapuri. She cleared her higher-secondary exam with 97.5% in her Class 12 board exams.

The brilliant scholastic accomplishments of  Aishwarya paved the way for her graduation from the prestigious Shri Ram College of Commerce at Delhi University. During her college years, Aishwarya dipped her toes into the realm of modeling and graced several beauty contests.

During her college years, Aishwarya started trying in the field of modeling and participated in a number of beauty pageants. Due to her charismatic presence, saw become finalist in the 2016 Miss India competition, coming off the back of previous accomplishments, having been crowned Miss Delhi in 2015 and Miss Clean and Care Fresh Face in 2014.

However, in a twist of fate, Aishwarya opted to pivot in her career trajectory in 2018, despite having been offered a spot at the prestigious institution, IIM Indore. Switching gears, she dedicated herself wholeheartedly to prepare for the UPSC exam. Displaying an admirable level of tenacity, Aishwarya buckled down for an intensive 10-month independent study schedule without the help of any formal coaching.

As a result, Aishwarya secured the 93rd rank in the UPSC exam, securing a grand entry into the Indian Administrative with her first attempt and is currently posted in India at the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). To everyone’s surprise, she chose the services of Indian Foreign Services instead of Indian Administrative Service after she cleared the exam.
