Shubhra Ranjan Topped Delhi University
Contrary to the circulating media stories, Shubhra Ranjan has never sat the UPSC exam herself, though she boasts of a teaching career spanning over 25 years. A graduate of Delhi University, she bagged a Bachelor’s degree, with Honors, in Political Science in 1994 and went further to earn a Master’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from the same institution in 1998, topping her class in both instances. Furthermore, she is a scholar under the renowned UGC JRF program.
Shubhra Ranjan Never Appeared For UPSC
Despite standing out during her time at Delhi University, Shubhra Ranjan chose not to pursue the UPSC examination, feeling it simply wasn’t for her. Rather, she nourished many minds as a faculty member at the same university for a good number of years. Her contribution to education didn’t stop there. She also held a key position at the Uttar Pradesh Higher Commission, where she oversaw the hiring process of teachers for upper levels, of secondary, and basic education, solidifying her influence at multiple educational stages.
