New Delhi: Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries has been a house for several prominent industry leaders who honed their skills. Many of them started their career at Reliance and later chose to strike out on their own after gaining valuable experience. Vikas Choudhury is one such entrepreneur who held a senior position at Reliance Jio for five years.
He leveraged his insights from Reliance to establish Playbook Partners, a venture capital fund focused on growth-stage startups.
Vikas’s company experienced rapid growth, fueled in part by a substantial investment of USD 130 million (approximately Rs 1091 crore) from domestic and international investors. This funding was allocated to his growth capital fund, supporting his company’s expansion and development.
This fund specializes in investing in promising, mid-sized Indian startups that leverage technology to drive growth and profitability. Vikas has indicated that he may further expand the fund’s size to USD 250 million in the future.
