Meet woman From Uttarakhand, who Did her MTech From Delhi, Got Selected For BDO Post, Now Cracked PCS At THIS age

New Delhi: Every year, thousands of candidates appear for competitive exams to get government jobs. They dedicate a year or more to prepare themselves to get through these examinations. However, this woman’s story is a rare case and stands out from all: Mamta Karki, a 42-year-old resident of Uttarakhand’s Bageshwar, successfully cracked the PCS exam after 11 years of marriage, proving that age is no barrier to success.

In the year 2021, Mamata passed the exam and got selected for the post of BDO. She did her early education from Bharatiya Bal Vidya Mandir in Haldwani. Mamata studied till intermediate from GGIC post early education. Later, she completed her graduation in BTech from Pantnagar University. She completed her post-graduation, MTech from Delhi. In the year 2005, she was also appointed for the post of professor, through the Public Service Commission, where she taught in an engineering college for many years.

A dedicated homemaker, Mamta left her career in 2013 to look after her family. It is important to note that all through her journey and despite all the challenges, she was steadfastly supported by her husband, Jitendra Kalki, who works at Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited (BHEL) in Hyderabad.

Even after leaving her professional life, Mamta never ignored her dreams and remained committed to her personal growth as she balanced both her competitive exam preparations and maternal duties. Her perseverance paid off when she successfully cleared the Uttarakhand PCS exam in 2021, earning the esteemed position of Block Development Officer (BDO).

Today, she emerged as a shining example for women who are looking to pursue their dreams and aspirations. Her remarkable achievements demonstrated that success is achievable at any stage of life, regardless of age or marital status.
