When there is a will, there is a way. This proverb fits in Chinu Kala’s journey who has established herself as a leading business woman.
Chinu Kala’s mother left her and moved to Saudi Arabia when she was a-year-old. Chinu’s father got married for the second time after mother’s departure. Due to family disputes, Chinu had to leave the home at the age of 15. She left the home with a bag of clothes and Rs 300.
She spent two days at the railway station in Mumbai. She had faced a lot of hardships in her life but did not give up.
Chinu’s life took a turn when she was studying at Saint Aloysius in 10th standard. Due to family disputes, she left homeland and started selling knives and coasters for her survival. She earned merely Rs 20 a day.
But, after a few years, Chinu’s life took a U-turn when she got an opportunity to participate in Gladrags Miss India Beauty Contest. She got a place in the ten finalists. Later, she started getting modelling-related assignments.
Chinu earned money but she realised that her career will last long. She got married to Amit Kala in 2004.
