Despite battling personal challenges such as depression and attending anger management sessions, she not only cleared the highly competitive UPSC Civil Services Examination but also secured an impressive All India Rank(AIR) on her first attempt. Her story serves as a beacon of hope for countless aspirants, demonstrating that with unwavering determination and perseverance, any individual can overcome any obstacle.
Hailing from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, Alankrita Pandey embarked on her journey towards the prestigious UPSC Civil Services Examination in 2014. However, a personal crisis that year led to a battle with depression. Seeking solace in therapy and anger management sessions, she found support from loved ones. The impact was so significant that she had to postpone her attempt at the 2014 prelims.
Alankrita Pandey refused to let her challenges define her future. With renewed dedication, she resumed her UPSC preparation. In 2015, her hard work paid off, securing an impressive All India Rank of 85 on her first attempt. She joined the 2016 IAS batch, initially assigned to West Bengal. Following her marriage to fellow IAS officer Anshul Agarwal, she transferred to the Bihar cadre.
